Talent Expo and Carnival Choreographer’s Ball has been postponed due to low ticket sales, AllStreetDance can reveal.
An organiser for Carnival Choreographer’s Ball told us that Roundhouse, the venue for the show, pulled out as early ticket sales were not picking up.
Prior to its postponement Choreographer’s Ball was set to have appearances from original locking veterans Don Campbellock and Toni Basil, as well as Sweden’s Bounce (Insane in the Brain) and America’s Best Dance Crew winners We Are Heroes.
The event page on the Roundhouse website states it is offering refunds to people who bought tickets.
Instead the Talent Expo exhibition has been moved back until Autumn, with new dates “to be announced soon” – Talent Expo was a supporter of Choreographer’s Ball, resulting in both events being cancelled. Instead, Talent Expo will be touring South East England with a tour bus, visiting cities and meeting future talent ahead of its new launch.
Carnival Choreographer’s Ball becomes ‘The Show Must Go On’
However, in light of Talent Expo’s postponement, the show will take place under a different name. The Show Must Go On takes place at The Arches, near London Bridge (map) and includes many of the original acts.
Although some international acts such as Bounce do not appear to be on the line up, confirmed Show Must Go On acts include:
BirdGang
Swaggers (France)
Pete Rancis
Feme Lethal (Amsterdam)
Kimberley Taylor
Animaineax (from Move Like Michael Jackson)
Emer Walsh
Interlude
Aphrodite
Peridot (from Britain’s Got Talent)
