Akai Osei, the 11 year old winner of Sky 1’s Got to Dance is to join the cast of Into The Hoods.

His addition to the cast of the West End “London Fairytale” adds to the line up of past talent show winners starring in the production. Previous guest stars have included George Sampson, winner of Britain’s Got Talent in 2008.

Akai commented: “I am so happy to be part of Into the Hoods. It’s an amazing opportunity and I am going to enjoy every minute of it!”

Kate Prince, choreographer and artistic director of Into the Hoods added: ““ZooNation is thrilled to have Akai joining the cast this summer. He is an exceptionally talented young man, with lots of charisma and is a very accomplished dancer for his age.”

Since winning Got To Dance, Akai has made several appearances in street dance productions, including a brief cameo in Streetdance 3D and the video for We Dance On by N-Dubz and Bodyrox.

Into The Hoods, Zoonation‘s street dance twist on on Stephen Sondheim’s musical, returns to London’s Southbank Centre 30 July – 15 August.
