world-of-dance-carlos-netoThe World of Dance Tour UK has appointed hip hop dancer Carlos Neto as the WOD UK creative director.

John Loring, UK director of World of Dance Tour said: “Carlos has supported the introduction of World of Dance Tour into the UK from day one and we are all looking forward to working with him.”

Carlos Neto moved to London from Portugal in 2009 making a name for himself in the choreography industry, choreographing for Britain’s Got Talent, George Sampson, Goldie Looking Chain, Trevor Nelson, Sergey Lazarev (Russia) and Samsung.

“A big thanks to WOD family for inviting me to take part in this project,” said Carlos. “I’m very happy and excited. Let’s make it the biggest thing in the UK. All the best to everyone and get ready for the future!”

Recently Carlos was invited to host his own hip hop dance classes at Pineapple Dance Studios in London. He has been part of companies including Avant Garde, Dance 2XS and Sophistafunk. Carlos was one of the dancers performing in Blaze: The World Tour and features as one of the performers in the new ZooNation production at the Peacock Theatre, Some like it Hip Hop.

Replacing the postponed WOD UK event at Oceana, Kingston, the World of Dance Tour is to stage four events in the UK which will climax in an awards ceremony awarding the UK’s top dance crew, duo and solo dancers with an all expenses paid trip to Los Angeles, California to attend the annual World of Dance Global Awards.
