Got to Dance 2012 will return on New Year’s Day on Sky 1 HD with Davina McCall hosting and Adam Garcia, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Banjo, lead dancer and choreographer of Diversity returning as judges.

“I am literally beside myself with excitement at the return of our third series of Got to Dance. I love working with gorgeous Adam, lovely Kimberly and of course sweetheart Ashley!” said Davina McCall. “Just you wait until you see the auditions – this year the bar has been raised even higher with so many acts worthy of a quarter of a million.”

Eight Got to Dance 2012 audition shows have been filmed in Dublin, Glasgow and London. Appearances have included an experimental hip hop by Chuck, pole dancing from Bendy Kate, hip hop from the A-Team and Irish dancnig from Prodijig.

After the initial audition shows the judges must decide on a shortlist of 30 acts who will compete in five live semi-final shows and face a public vote will decide the final eight.

The Got to Dance 2012 final will take place in front of 6,000 spectators at Kensington Olympia and will be broadcast in 3D for customers with a Sky 3D subscription and television set.

Got to Dance 2012 launches on Sunday 1 January at 6pm on Sky 1 HD and Sky 1. The second audition show will air on Monday 2 January at 6pm.
