Got to Dance producers Shine TV has announced it has brokered the TV format franchise to German and Vietnamese TV networks.

According to C21 Media the dance competition which airs on Sky One in the UK will be aired internationally in the same format to Got to Dance on UK television.

The Got to Dance franchise was sold to America as Live To Dance in 2010 with Paula Abdul, Travis Payne and Kimberly Wyatt as judges to rival So You Think You Can Dance on Fox, and Got to Dance – Tylko Taniec in Poland in 2012 on the network Polsac.

Got to Dance Germany will broadcast on ProSieben and Sat.1 later this year, produced by Shine Germany with auditions starting this month. Got to Dance Vietnam will be airing its own show on VT3 later this year.

C21 also reports the format’s international roll-out also includes Finland, where YLE2 airs its own adaptation, as will Romanian channel Antena 1.

Though Live to Dance in America borrowed Kimberly Wyatt as a judge the international Got to Dance shows may not use UK judges.

Got to Dance has seen four UK series take place on UK with Got to Dance 2014 expected to be announced soon. Produced by Princess Productions, a part of Shine Group, who are also responsible for Ashley Banjo’s Secret Street Crew and the upcoming Jordan and Perri’s Ultimate Block PartyGot to Dance sees dancers and groups dancing for a cash prize of £250,000.
