Dancer Tommy Franzén, finalist of BBC So You Think You Can Dance 2010 and hip hop dance group ZooNation, have been nominated for National Dance Awards.
Tommy Franzén has been nominate for his role in Blaze: The Streetdance Sensation and perfomance alongside Royal Ballet principle dancer Tamara Rojo in Goldberg.
He commented on his Facebook page: “I’m so chuffed and to be honest I don’t feel worthy of such an award. If I win or not it doesn’t matter to me as I’m already so happy that I’m just nominated.”
ZooNation is the dance company behind Into The Hoods, which returned to the Southbank Centre in August for another successful run. Earlier in July it was announced that Zoonation was to join Sadler’s well as a resident company.
Recently both Tommy Franzén and ZooNation have been collaborating researching for Zoonation’s next theatre production, Some Like It Hip Hop.
