Alesha’s Street Dance Stars returns to the CBBC Channel today, Monday 19 August, part of a 10 part series to find the UK’s best under 16 dance crews.
The third series will search for the UK’s best under 16 dance crews across with six crews performing each episode and only four going through to the heats before the semi final rounds.
The eventual Alesha’s Street Dance Stars Champion 2013 will get the opportunity to perform at the Young Voices Concert, the UK’s largest choir concert, at the O2 Arena in January 2014.

New to the judge line up is Kymberlee Jay, who replaces Suzette Brissett as the fourth judge who will decide which dance groups will go through to the next round. Kymberlee Jay is an established choreographer, dance teacher, performance coach and Nike Athlete who has danced for Madonna and worked on many leading publicity campaigns involving street dancers.
Returning is Turbo and Lizzie Gough from the first series, and Dwayne Nosworthy, who joined the panel in series two.
Marcus Collins, X-Factor 2011 runner up, will host the backstage interviews.
The first series of Alesha’s Street Dance Stars was won by Lil Diamonds on the CBBC channel in August 2011. Last year’s Alesha’s Street Dance Stars winners were Future Pride.
