Kayzar Dance Company has won 32 trophies after competing against schools from across the South East in the Essex Streetdance Championships.
Around 43 young dancers performed at the competition held at the Civic Hall in Grays taking home at least one prize winning trophies in solo, duo or group categories.
Junior dance troupe, Riots, who were recently crowned Southend’s TXT Factor streetdance champions, scooped another first place trophy in the under 12 group category.
Nader Boulila, owner of Kayzar Dance Company, said: “What a brilliant result! All the judges were of the highest level and our pupils were competing against schools from the whole South East area.”
In the under 16 groups, Ninjas picked up 1st place followed closely by Remedy in 2nd place and Legacy in 3rd. K-Lic came 1st in the over 16 groups and Justice won 3rd place in the same category. Madison Hubbard, 11, came 1st in the under 12 solos while Sam Hall, 12, scooped second place in the under 14s. In the under 16 solo category, Kieran Lai, 14, picked up 1st place, while Ellen Westmore, 15, was awarded 2nd place and Will Smith, 15, came 3rd. The remaining trophies were awarded to dancers for their outstanding performances in the duo categories.
He continued: “We are so proud of all our pupils and teachers. They all deserve such fantastic results as they always work so hard. It is a wonderful achievement and recognition for all the hard work, support and team spirit from all the pupils, parents and teachers.”
The young dancers train at Kayzar Dance Company which has dance schools in Basildon, Brentwood, Southend and Wickford.
Hii I watched K-LIC on tv and thought they was great.I used to be a dancer my self but had to stop due to problems with my bones but if I was granted 1 wish it would be to dance with K-LIC and 2 be honist I have a little crush on 1 of the boys In 13 by the was just to let you no
