Virgin Media is to unveil its first dance app available on its TiVo service to customers available through their set-top box today, headed by Zoe Jackson, entreprenuer and Virgin Media Pioneer.

The dance app available using the TiVo remote control will allow viewers to watch dance content on demand on their television.

“We’re really excited about launching our very own app and reaching hundreds of thousands of Virgin Media customers,” said Zoe Jackson, managing director of Living The Dream Company on the Virgin blog. “As well as providing great entertainment, our dedicated TiVo app is a great way to get more people off the sofa and dancing in their living rooms, whether they’re keen dancers or simply looking for a way to keep fit, there’s something for everyone.”

On demand videos available through the Living The Dream TiVo app include dance performances, videos of workshops and interviews with leading dancers and choreographers including Flawless, Chris and Wes, Boy Blue Entertainment, Alleviate, Unity UK, Abyss and Masters of Motion.

The Living The Dream performing arts company was set up in 2006 by Zoe Jackson which has since expanded into a school of performing arts, dance company, media company and dancewear shop.

Zoe was was selected by Richard Branson in 2011 to help him with his Control Shift campaign, and was instrumental in persuading the Government to introduce the Youth Enterprise Scheme to support the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The Virgin Media TiVo app launches today, Wednesday 13 June 2012.
