It’s the most exciting thing to happen in street dance, at least until the release of Step Up 3D in cinemas, but because of international licensing, the UK won’t be getting to watch The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers (LXD) too soon.
The LXD is an exclusively online series of dance adventures that has been gathering a lot of hype since its announcement last autumn. Episodes are due to screen today (7 July) on Hulu.com, an online video service similar to YouTube, which is currently only available in America.
The LXD series combines some of the best dancers in America with a super hero storyline inspired by director Jon Chu’s fascination with superhuman powers, a project that combines music, dance, story telling, sport and interactive media.

Visitors from the UK who visit the LXD video page are greeted with a message “Sorry, currently our video library can only be streamed from within the United States.”
As of yet we don’t have a contact involved with the production of LXD, although we’re in the process of finding out more about the project and whether or not it will reach UK shores (or computers) in the future.
While only teaser videos are available to watch, you can read more about the LXD’s characters and storylines on the official LXD website, or follow the series on Twitter and Facebook.
