Red Bull BC One 2012 – Rio De Janeiro, Brazil set as World Final City

Red Bull recently announced that the Red Bull BC One 2012 world finals will be held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil in December.

It will be the first time that the Red Bull BC One breakdance (b-boy) championships has returned to Brazil since 2006.

Qualification events will take place across the globe where celebrated and unknown b-boys have the chance to break their way into the Red Bull BC One World Final.

Local Red Bull BC One 2012 qualifiers will take place internationally across 60 cyphers (battles), with local qualification events in countries as far and wide as India, Italy, Bolivia and Taiwan and over 1,000 b-boys and b-girls are predicted to take part.

Winners of the local cyphers will get the chance to compete in one of six continental qualifiers in in USA, Russia, Mexico, Netherlands, Egypt and New Zealand and attempt to reach the World Final, which will be held in December 2012

In 2011 B-Boy RoxRite became the Red Bull BC One world champion, joining the champions of recent years, Neguin of Brazil and Lilou of France.

Red Bull BC One is an international one-on-one b-boy competition that takes place in a different city every year where 16 of the world’s most unique and elite b-boys. Last year the Red Bull BC One finals took place in Moscow, Russian.
