Kymberlee Jay has recently announced the initial line up for Serious About Street Dance 2012 event at the Indigo2, London.

11 out of the total 21 performance companies that will perform have been revealed, with the remaining 10 expected to be announced closer to the event.

Plague, the present Hip Hop International World Champions, Flawless, the stars of Street Dance 3D, and Soldiers of the New School, a division of Boy Blue Entertainment, are to headline the annual celebration of UK street dance in London on 16 March.

Serious About Street Dance 2012 will mark the fourth year of the event taking place, with previous incarnations including We-R-One in 2009 marking the one year anniversary of Kymberlee Jay’s original dance company, Funk Physics.

Presently Serious About Street Dance: The Battles are taking place in the lead up to the main event, where for the first time, the main event will also include a 5 v 5 street dance crew battle competition for £1,000. The preliminary battle rounds will take place on Thursday 1 March 2012 at University of London Union ahead of the finals at the Indigo2.

Kymberlee Jay is a dancer, choreographer and Nike Athlete and director of her company, SuperBad events, which run events, workshops and masterclasses, competitions and battles, and showcases and performances.

Serious About Street Dance 2012 takes place on Friday 16 March at Indigo2 at the O2, Peninsula Square, Millennium Way, London.
