R16 Korea Elimination 2012 – Jinjo Crew BBoy Champions for third time

Jinjo Crew emerged winners of R16 World B-Boy Champions 2012 in Korea today and qualify for a place in the UK B-Boy Championships.

Their win today at the UiJeongBu Art Center in UiJeongBu City, Korea, makes them triple champions after successfully defending their title for the second time, defeating Morning of Owl in the finals.

Jinjo Crew previously won R16 World B-Boy Championships in 2010, then again defending their title in 2011 after defeating Vagabond Crew in the final round.

In the other dance styles Du Lock emerged as winner of the R16 National Championships in locking, and Boogaloo Kin as champion in popping.

R16 is an annual urban arts festival held in Korea which started in 2007. Supported by the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the city of Incheon, it was developed to champion the growth and creativity of urban youth cultures.

The festival also includes a celebration of graffiti, street markets and other activities, although the main focus is often on the b-boy battles. Past winners of R16 Korea include All Area Crew (2009), Gamblerz Crew (2008) and Rivers Crew (2007).
