According to film website ComingSoon.net, a sequel to Step Up 3D has been scheduled for 2012, under the working title Step Up 4Ever.

The report cites an advert placed in American glossy Variety magazine by Step Up 3D‘s studio Summit Entertainment hinting they “look[s] forward to doing it again in 2012 with Step Up 4Ever in 3D.”

No further details have been revealed at this stage about who is to direct or star in Step Up 4Ever.

Currently Jon M Chu, the director of Step Up 3D, is working on Justin Beiber’s 3D concert film, Never Say Never, announced during the first series of The LXD, a glossy online series about dancers, heroes and villains. The second series of the LXD is currently in production.
