Big Dance 2012

Big Dance 2012 is the UK’s biggest ever celebration of dance with events taking part around the UK in the Olympic year. As part of the Scottish Government’s policy to Get Scotland Dancing, Dance Base has received investment from Creative Scotland to produce a celebration of dance.

Other events that are part of Big Dance 2012 events across the UK include the Breathe the Beat tour of the Midlands and the New Movementz Under 18s Battles in East London.

The Castle Rocks Breakdance Championships is a breaking competition that takes place annually in Edinburgh as part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August where invited international b-boys battle local breakers.
